SOLEMNITY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTIONOF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARYOn December 8th we celebrate God’s plan for our salvation.On this day we honor how God’s actions allowed the BlessedVirgin Mary to be “preserved immune from all stain of originalsin” (Pius IX, quoted in CC 491). Many people confused thiswith the virgin birth of Jesus; but now we understand why thisday is so important and why it is a Holy Day of Obligation.

The St. Aloysius Angel Tree has a basket below the tree filled with tags with specific gifts. When you take a tag, please take an angel from the angel basket and hang it on the tree. Please return the gift by December 10 with the tag firmly attached on the outside. The Advent Giving Tree at St. John has gift tags on the tree. When you take a tag, please hang an angel ornament on the tree where the tag was. For security reasons, please return the wrapped gift with the tag attached (on the outside) inside the crying room at the back of the church by December 17.
All the families involved with our Giving Trees are going through financial hardships. The greatest gift we can give them are our prayers, so please consider taking the time to pray for their greatest needs to be met through the grace of our Lord.

The Altar Society's bake sale will be Saturday, December 16 in the Parish Hall from Noon to 4:00 pm. Goodies can be dropped off Friday, December 15 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and again on Saturday starting at 11:00 am.

NEW DAILY MASS SCHEDULE FOR OUR FAMILY OF PARISHES BEGINNING AUGUST 14, 2023
As our Family of Parishes #33 continues to adapt to working together to best provide opportunities to worship, support and serve the People of God in our communities, the Liturgy Pillar group has already determined a weekend Mass schedule for our four parish communities and, after some starts and stops, has now proposed a weekday Mass schedule that we hope will allow parishioners the opportunity to come together to worship during the week. Beginning on Monday, August 14th, 2023, weekday Masses will be celebrated as follows:
- Mondays at 8:30 AM at St. Mary’s Arcade Worship Site
- Tuesdays at 7:30 AM at St. Aloysius, Springville at 8:00 AM at St. Jude, Sardinia
- Wednesdays at 7:30 AM at St. Aloysius, Springville at 8:00 AM at St. Jude, Sardinia
- Thursdays at 7:30 AM at St. Aloysius, Springville at 8:00 AM at St. Jude, Sardinia
- Fridays at 8:30 AM at St. Mary’s Arcade Worship Site
As with many things associated with the new Family of Parishes structure, we realize that this change will require flexibility and patience with those who have been used to the past ways of doing things, but we believe this is the best for our Family #33. As with all things, we will evaluate the new schedule in the future and adapt as is necessary. Thank you for your patience and adaptivity.

BINGO!
ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH BINGO will be held on Wednesday evenings at the St. Aloysius Church Hall. The doors open at 6:00 p.m., and game sales start at 6:30 p.m. Bingo Games will start at 7:30 p.m. and usually run until about 9:45 p.m. Everyone age 18 years and older is welcome to join us to play Bingo and Bell Jar games, and children under the age of 18 years are welcome to attend with a paying/playing adult to play our FREE Kids' Bingo for toy prizes! All proceeds benefit St. Aloysius Parish.
